Mission Statement
The American Association of Dispensing Ophthalmologists, Inc., is a non-profit organization that brings together ophthalmologists and management staff for the purpose of education in the area of optical dispensing. The Association holds conferences which will provide an opportunity for ophthalmologists who wish to pursue optical dispensing in their practices to do so in the company of their peers with similar interests. The faculty presents programs that supports the development, training and expansion of optical dispensing in an ophthalmology practice.

Prior to it's formation in June 2000, the AADO conducted the "Original" Dispensing Ophthalmology Conferences in Atlantic City, NJ, June 2000 and San Diego, CA, February 2000.
